The KMA is thrilled to host local musician Emily Singer for a free outdoor concert on our front porch on Thursday, September 17th, 5:30 - 7 pm. Bring your music- and art-loving friends! Everyone is welcome. Children age 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Admission to the KMA is always free. Emily Singer was raised in a musical family immersed in jazz, folk, and traditional Appalachian string band music in Athens, Ohio. A talented singer from an early age, she has performed as a lead vocalist with several local bands and has recently begun writing and performing original music. Whether accompanying herself on piano or backed by her exceptional four-piece band, Emily's songs weave together emotional themes and heartfelt melodies, drawing on vintage jazz, folk, blues, and soul. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Kennedy Museum of Art. Our galleries are open until 8 pm every Thursday during the academic year.
