Reading Sources: CI Research Workshop

In this workshop, you will gain confidence reading challenging academic texts. You will learn strategies for identifying a source's purpose before you even begin to read it, and for locating its central ideas both accurately and time efficiently. We will also practice active reading methods like annotation and note-taking that will help you maintain focus and keep track of what you learn. These skills will enable you to feel more prepared for class discussions and to make the most of your bibliography in your future writing projects. This workshop is open to all undergraduate students but is recommended especially for those currently taking CI (Communication-Intensive) courses. --- Event Details:
