This trip is open to female nursing students who are in their junior or senior years. The "Philippines Trip" is a long-standing nursing mission trip that has been available for many years through GO and the School of Nursing. Nursing students can participate in prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care for families at Shalom Birthing Home/Hope Alive in the Philippines, under the direction and supervision of Filipino midwives, while sharing the Gospel with the patients and families who use their services. This opportunity has expanded to include other healthcare involvement opportunities, such as pediatrics, physical therapy, and home visits. There may be two separate teams going on this trip in the Summer of 2027 (one for 4 weeks in May and one for 4 weeks in June).
