Rocket Welcome Weekend: College of Engineering

Prepare to launch your year as a #Rocketengineer with your new classmates Friday, August 28, 2026 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. In front of Nitschke Hall. Kick off the semester by meeting classmates, connecting with faculty and staff, exploring student organizations, and getting to know your engineering community before classes begin. Enjoy free food, giveaways, games, and plenty of Rocket Engineer spirit. At this informal event, you can: • Meet fellow engineering students, faculty and staff. • Connect with engineering student organizations • Have a free doughnut! • Grab a complimentary coffee from Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck. • Pick up your free Rocket Engineer T-Shirt. • Listen to music from WXUT's live DJ. • Play yard games with Rocky and Rocksy • Snap a photo with the Formula SAE race car. • Win prizes (must be present to win) • Tour the college and find your classrooms • Score engineering swag. • Walk with your classmates to lunch at the Flatlands at noon.
