Community Mental Health Awareness Mini-Conference
The Community Mental Health Awareness Conference brings students, educators, practitioners and community members together for a half day on the mental health challenges facing the tri-state and the practical strategies for meeting them. Three sessions anchor the morning. Dr. Austin Raines of Shawnee State University examines workplace stress and burnout through personality preferences, helping participants name what fuels their work and what drains it. Hannah Diehl and Michael Hickman of Integrated Services for Behavioral Health look at how social media shapes self-esteem, sleep and anxiety in young people, along with conversation strategies adults can use without shutting the door. Jennifer Lloyd of RecoveryOhio introduces RecoveryRachel, a statewide tool built to connect Ohioans with licensed treatment providers. The morning closes with a presenter panel and audience questions. Free for students. $25 for community members. Questions: conference@ohio.edu or 740.533.4600
