Happy 240th Birthday, David Walker

The department of African American Studies will be holding a student event celebrating the 240th birthday of David Walker, renowned abolitionist, writer, and entrepreneur. As part of the event we will provide instruction and supplies for students to learn (or re-learn!) handwriting techniques. Walker's thesis on the meaning of education included an extended argument about the relevance of being able to write (i.e., all dimensions of literacy)
