Moon Festival Celebration

Marion Public Library Experience the beauty of traditional Chinese music and culture. Learn about Chinese traditional music and cultural customs. The musician, Rosa Lee of Five Lakes Chinese Music Ensemble, will engage in dialogue with the audience, sharing cultural stories of the music and answering audience questions. We'll learn more about the Chinese Moon Festival and how it is celebrated. At the end, Rosa Lee will provide personalized bookmark souvenirs for each participant.This 1.5hr course led by:Rosa Lee, a distinguished performer of the Guzheng (Chinese Zither). In 1985, Rosa's first performance in Cleveland reconnected the local residents with their heritage, which had been lost for over half a century. She is the recipient of a 2014 Ohio Heritage Fellowship, and in May 2022 she was presented with a Governor's Award for the Arts, in recognition of her lifetime of achievement in her chosen field.
