BGSU Students are invited to participate in meaningful service opportunities that honor and remember those affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Service opportunities are available throughout September, with special emphasis on the following activities taking place Sept. 11-12. Explore the opportunities below and find a way to get involved through service, remembrance and community support. Featured service opportunities: Military Christian Mission: Handmade Ornaments| Sept. 11, 11:30 a.m. To 4:30 p.m.Location: BTSU 207 | No registration needed, just show up to create handmade ornaments to honor military families.Black Swamp Arts Festival: Volunteer Support | Sept. 11-12, All Day Volunteer to help at the Black Arts Swamp Festival in downtown BG. Times/shifts will vary.Task Force 20: Medal of Honor Ceremony Support | Sept. 12, 2-10 p.m.Student volunteers will assist with event setup and tear-down, and are invited to stay and attend the banquet. Transportation provided for participants. These events are part of an ongoing effort to honor those affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
