๐ 21st Annual Fathers Walk: A Day of EngagementOne Morning Leads to a Lifetime of Impact.Thursday, September 17, 2026 The Cleveland Metropolitan School District is proud to join the Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative and school communities across Northeast Ohio in celebrating the 21st Annual Fathers Walk. For more than two decades, Fathers Walk has encouraged fathers and positive male role models to demonstrate their commitment to education by showing up for the scholars in their lives. At CMSD, we've embraced that vision and expanded it into A Day of Engagement - an opportunity for schools to creatively connect fathers, families, and communities in meaningful ways. While many schools begin the day by inviting fathers and male role models to walk scholars to school or into the building, others have reimagined the experience through:Morning pep rallies and welcome celebrationsBreakfasts and coffee gatheringsGuest speakers and school assembliesMen's book clubs and literacy circlesClassroom visits and read-aloudsMidday luncheons with scholarsAfter-school meet-ups and family engagement eventsMentoring opportunities and community partnerships There is no one-size-fits-all approach. The goal is simple:Get men engaged in the lives of our scholars. Whether you're a father, stepfather, grandfather, uncle, brother, coach, mentor, pastor, neighbor, male educator, or simply someone willing to stand in the gap, your presence matters.
