Join naturalist Breanna Rossiter from Ashtabula Metroparks for an engaging presentation on the wildlife of Ashtabula County. Learn about the unique physical characteristics of local animals, how they interact within their ecosystems, and the important roles they play in the natural world. The program will explore the history of each species, human interactions with wildlife, and even some fascinating animal folklore. Breanna will bring a selection of biofacts - such as antlers, a skull replica, tracks, or fur - from two or three of the following animals: Coyote Eastern cottontail Virginia opossum American beaver Striped skunk Common snapping turtle Little brown bat Turkey vulture White-tailed deer Additional topics may include wildlife commonly found in your backyard, the history of wildlife in Ohio, how to safely interact with wild animals, and what to do if you encounter injured wildlife. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply curious about the animals that share our communities, this program offers an informative and interactive look at Ohio's native wildlife. Snacks will be provided.
