Kya Granger: BFA Senior Exhibition: Grace Transcends the Withered Root.

Created in a time of personal hardship, Grace Transcends the Withered Root embraces experimentation within the photographic process. Kya Granger investigates the relationship between self-portraiture and nature to represent themes of identity, loss, and transformation. From stark black and white imagery featuring scarce or decaying plant life to vibrant compositions with blooming flowers and flourishing vegetation, the series reflects a transition from grief and emotional turmoil toward healing, renewal, and a restored send of self. Opening Night Reception: Thursday October 15, 5:00-8pm Exhibition on display from October 15-December 19, 2026 Summit Art Space Hours Friday & Saturday 12-5pm Senior Exhibition Proudly Supported by University of Akron Myers School of Art Alumnus.
