Event Type: Free Event Link: https://cpl.libcal.com/event/16883929 Last year, thanks to the incredible efforts of our downtown gardeners, plant enthusiasts, and bookworms, we transformed the nine tree planters along Superior Avenue into a thriving native Ohio plant garden, just in time for the Cleveland Public Library's centennial celebration. Those plants are growing, and now they need us! This year, we're launching a Garden Club Series to nurture what we planted together. Join Downtown Cleveland residents in getting your hands dirty while learning about the native plants growing on the library grounds as we plant, weed, and water the nine tree planters along Superior Avenue. 🌻 2026 Downtown Garden Club Series Location: Cleveland Public Library, 325 Superior Avenue Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm Upcoming Dates: • Sunday, May 31 • Sunday, June 28 • Sunday, July 26 • Sunday, August 30 • Sunday, September 27 • Sunday, October 25 This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who loves native gardening and urban ecology, supporting our historic public library, community service with tangible and lasting results, and learning new gardening skills in good company. This series is also an extension of Downtown Cleveland's Green Team initiative: Spruce Up the Square, a weekly volunteer series every Sunday morning at Public Square focused on beautifying Cleveland's central gathering space through pruning, trimming, weeding, and more.
