Illustrating Athens: Sandy Plunkett's Brush with History

Local artist and comic book writer Sandy Plunkett will be discussing his newest book, A Brush with History: The Illustrative Art of S. Plunkett . The book is a collection of Plunkett's commissioned work within the Athens community, and by extension, a history of Athens over the past 35 years. Following the talk, Sandy will have copies available for purchase and signing. Sandy Plunkett is an Athens-based artist and comics writer. His career began in New York City drawing for DC and Marvel Comics. His trademark look can be seen across our region on countless posters, album covers, and political cartoons.
