Speaker: Cristiano Reis, PhD Assistant Professor Department of Chemical Engineering Howard University Seminar Title: Waste Carbon, Reimagined - From Agricultural Residues to Methane and the Engineers to Sustain It. Dr. Reis will discuss approaches for converting underutilized carbon streams into fuels, chemicals, and materials, with examples spanning agroindustrial residues and methane bioconversion. The seminar will also highlight bioreactor design, kinetic modeling, techno-economic and life-cycle analysis, and the Engineering for One Planet framework.
