7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 • CCM Winds Series • TRIALS CCM Wind Ensemble Tyler Ehrlich, music director and conductor Cincinnati Junior Youth Wind Ensemble (Jr. CYWE) Richard Canter, conductor An evening of music that traces a path through hardship toward hope. Featured works include Ramon Ricker's setting of Mein Junges Leben hat ein End (My young life has ended) by Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, David Maslanka's stirring Testament, written in the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001, and Omar Thomas' Of Our New Day Begun, commissioned in the weeks following the 2015 shooting at Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
