Laugh Riot Comedy Fest | Gwen Sunkel

Laugh your way through summer during Bombs Away! At The Comet, where Cincinnati's comedy and live music scenes collide every Saturday from July 11 through Aug. 29. This audience-powered competition features 56 comedians battling for laughs, votes and a chance to advance. Each event features six rookie comedians and three veteran comedians competing for audience votes and judges' scores. Weekly winners receive a $50 prize, a future Bombs Away! Booking and a spot in the finals. Featured rookie comedians include Big Guy And Shotgun, Jericho Puckett, Charlie Hall, Max Jenson and Caitlin Menosky. Veteran comedians Ben Gerber, Breezy Lee and Allison Stapp also take the stage, with Indianapolis comedian, emcee and character actor Gwen Sunkel headlining the show. Sunkel performs regularly at Helium Comedy Club and The White Rabbit Cabaret, where she is a cast member of "An Evening With The Authors." After the comedy wraps up, keep the night going with live performances from some of Cincinnati's best punk, metal, hardcore and rock bands, plus The Comet's famous burritos.
