A Portrayal of Martha Washington

Marion Public Library How did George and Martha meet? What was life like, and what were some of the struggles in Colonial America during the 1770s? What was the relationship like between George and Martha? This first-person narrative will answer these questions and more!This 1hr course led by:Valerie Hamill. Valerie has been a Civil War reenactor for nearly 20 years and is a member of the 1st Ohio Light Artillery, Battery A Unit (Ohio Statehouse). She is a past member of the 5th Kentucky Unit and the Rosecrans Command Headquarters Civil War Reenacting Unit, served as the Director of the Ohio Herb Education Center, chair of the Ladies Aid Society, and as a dedicated volunteer for the fundraising efforts for the Rosecrans statue that now has a place of honor on Sunbury Square.
