Lunch & Learn: Ohio's Greatest Non-Professional Astronomer

Delphos, Ohio resident Leslie C. Peltier (1900-1980) is widely considered to be Ohio's greatest non-professional astronomer. During his sixty-two year love affair with the night sky Peltier discovered twelve comets and made an incredible 132,000 variable star observations - all from his backyard. Richland Astronomical Society member Mitch Luman will recount this great Ohioan's story, the discoveries he made, a book he authored, and its impact on countless other watchers of the night sky.
