The Moment is an alt-funk pop rock band. Rob Maupin and Chris DeBoard met eachother musically while playing together in a cover band in 2015, and then began writing some songs together shortly after. Chris and Rob began collaboratively writing songs together for next several years. Chris being a singer/drummer and Rob being a guitarist. Both of whom had played in various bands around Columbus. Once they had a cache of songs, they ended up tracking with Eric Jones at Steezo Sound, who coincidentally is the senior sound engineer at Woodlands Tavern.
