UC's Awareness, Screening, Support, and Intervention Skills Training for Students (ASSISTS) prepares and empowers individuals to respond to a person in mental distress and refer them to appropriate professional resources. This is an 8 hour online live training with 2 hours of individual, asynchronous pre-work to be completed online before the training date. Participants who complete the training will be certified in Mental Health First Aid for Higher Education and will be equipped with foundational SBIRT and de-escalation skills and resources.
